Musically Inspired

In this segment, I will be showing you looks inspired by some of your favorite music videos. Looks in music videos are always stylish, and over the top. They create great looks to find inspiration from. Note that the looks will not be exact, but you will be able to see the inspiration. Today's music video is Shakira's Give It Up To Me. This video features a casual style, an over the top, glamorous style, and a dancing style. Here are the looks:
The first look is a fairly casual look. Since Stardoll didn't have a short grey dress that fitted the look, I made one myself. The Stardoll Pencil Skirt creates a near exact hemline to Shakira's look and is complimented by Bisou's knee high boots. This look is very wearable and can be seen by any stylish girl during day or night.

The second look is very high fashion, glamour. Stardoll didn't have what I wanted so I made a new look that is more mature and sophisticated. The blue dress drapes down the body in a very luxurious fashion as does the dress in Shakira's video. Both looks show a fantasy and a beautiful one at that.

The third look is a dancer look. Obviously, this isn't the type of outfit to be wearing out on the street. But this would be a great outfit for a performance. My medoll is dressed in a Black leotard with golden accents, as Shakira is in her video. I made the illusion of the bodysuit in Starplaza and mimiced the video by adding gloves and a tattoo on her left arm.

New Archive Items

There are new Archive items in the Starplaza. I think that the new items are okay. But I like the Archive Ruffle Top that's for 0 Stardollars. It's a very cute top.

Hm, don't a few of these items look familiar? I think we've seen the Royal t shirt before, and the Golden High tops. I think that they were in the Fudge shop. I'm assuming they re-released it again because they might have ran out of ideas.

How to wear the new HB skirt:

These are 3 different possible styles to wear the new HB topshop inspired skirt:

Outfit #1: use matching colours

Stick to 1 theme, and this skirt may be hard because not many things go well with dark brown, but experiment and when you come across a good colour use it and it would be better to use that colour mostly in accessories, in this outfit i used gold as there are gold buttons on the skirt aswell so it would make a good mix, to bring the shape of the skirt out i added a thin gold belt to the waist of the skirt, and as a finishing touch i used the HB gold necklace which was just recently released. obviously you need shoes, these can usually be the hard part as they can just ruin the outfit because they usually stand out from far away so got for a soft mixture of the two colours used in the outfit so in this case all i found was the DKNY two tone shoes, then a few bracelets and a hat then the outfit is complete .:)
* This outfit is for going out, maybe to work or just shopping if u want to stand out from the crowd.

Outfit #2: be creative

This outfit is for the girls who are well creative and are willing to take a huge risk, this type of outfit can turn out well or the other way round so be careful,
as stardoll is 2D this skirt can be used as a dress for those creative gals and has to be accessorized carefully with not too much or it will look OTT, so i focused on blending different shades of the skirt color into 1 outfit, i used black and dark brown mostly with a hint of silver to add shine, a bag, hair band, necklace and bracelet to finish off the look.
* This outfit is for a party or something needing a glamorous outfit.

Outfit #3: be stylish and use the latest trends.

In this outfit i tried to combine the latest trends in one, but of course h=they should go well together. once again stick to 1 theme, i used a few belts to once again make the skirt stand out then some short classic gloves to make the outfit look more high fashionable, and as a final touch a coco chanel hat is added to finish the look.
* this outfit is for a small party or a fancy dinner e.c.t

How to Put up a good look ;D

A lot of people liked my new Dkny look, So i want to share some tips about how i put up a look . People do have different styles and i respect that so im going to show you my personal style and how i put it up . My style changes after in what mood im in , like if im feeling clod i dress my medoll in a jacket ,or if im feeling arty my doll will get a lot of arty ,, like yellow socks and red sunglasses ;D , Do you dress your dolls up in diffrennt styles after what mood youre in ?

Here i started with the skirt,and the i put the jacket on .
Then i put the belt,socks and shoes on and to make it little sweeter not so edgy i put a flower cap.

In this segment, I made a superstar outfit and a non superstar outfit that both showed a trendy style. Each outfit has a purple and black color scheme and each outfit is made for a different occasion.

So the Non-SS outfit is very casual. It is a stylish day look that comes out to 31sd. It comes with many pieces that work well together because the color scheme is very subtle. The Superstar outfit is much more extravagant and double the price of the Non-Superstar Outfit. But the most expensive pieces here are the accessories. So remember that it may be expensive, but you will use these items over and over again. The outfit is more glamorous and is a night look. Always remember that style is for everyone and you can get it whether you are Superstar or Non-Superstar.

Hotbuys Skirt Released

The new Hotbuys RIO Chicas Skirt came out today.
The Hotbuys Skirt is 12 Stardollars and big surprise, it's for Superstars only. I think that the skirt it pretty cute. It's black, so it will go with anything. I made a couple of outfits to show you what you can do with the skirt. So here they are:

Outfit one: This is more like party outfit, but it's still adorable to wear. It consists of :

Rio Chicas Hotbuys Skirt: 12 SD

How to wear the new DKNY:

Outfit #1: Use the right accessories:
accessories make an outfit more glamorous but the wrong ones can also ruin and outfit so be sure to use the right type of accessoiries where needed, the right color or it will just look out of place and most importantly, DO NOT go over the top with the necklaces as it will not look neat and professional.
* this outfit is a more normal day out kind of outfit.

Outfit #2: Stay simple but Fashionable:

Dont go too far with layering as it wont look right and if u look at it you cant imagine it looking good in RL, keep your outfit simple but not too simple, have a main clothing item and work around it, accessorize matching the item and add a few finishing touches with a belt and headgear.
* this outfit is for a glamorous night out.

Outfit #3: have a consistent theme:

Use colours that go well together and continue to work on the outfit around those colours, normally two colours work best, try havong the accesoiries a mixture of those two colours like a purse or hat, finnish off the outfit with tights and some shoes and if its an outfit for a winter day add a finishing touch of gloves.
* this outfit is more for runway fashion

These tips dont normally apply to everyone because we all have different choices in fashion.

Rock the trend: Black and white

Hey ! Its me again ! Recently Stardoll has been realising a lot of black and white items, in this post I want to show you how you can wear the classic colour duo, Black and white without looking washed out or boring
For these 3 outfits I used 9 top essentials

This first look is for the bold fashionisas who will gladly take a risk ! This Dolce&Gabbana dress has the exaggerated shoulder, which just happens to be another big trend. So that's 2 trends in one look ! The dress is paired up with those fantastic platforms

This second look features one piece that we all love.... skinny jeans ! This time they are high waisted and bleached white. The semi-formal black blouse is a perfect pairing with the casual jeans. The look is topped of with a pair of really cool booties, courtest of Baby Phat.

This last look is the most relaxed look of all, but it still maintains its class. The comfy elements in this look are the boyfriend blazer (which is fantastic !) and those kinda-harem pants, which are on sale ! The real statement piece in all of this is the pearl print tunic/dress, it adds a sense of vintage glamour to this whole look.

Hello! i thought it would be a cool idea to do Key trends in the fashion world and show you how it can work on Stardoll too! So here goes and tell me what you think :D

PLAID: Plaid has been around for donkey years and plays a huge part in fashion. From shirts to accessories the list is endless. Stardoll have a huge range of plaid in their stores, so it's not hard to look gorgeous this winter in checked! Plaid gives off a very dressed-down look for all, and slightly tomboy style gives it a nice edge to your winter wardrobe.
